Connections Hunter Killer by DJ Forrest

Hunter Killer came out in 2018. It starred Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman and was written by Arne Schmidt and Jamie Moss. It was adapted from the novel Firing Point written by George Wallace and Don Keith and directed by Donovan Marsh.

Hunter Killer tells the story of an American Sub Captain played by Gerard Butler who joins forces with a group of US Navy Seals, in order to rescue the Russian President who has been kidnapped by a crazy Russian general. As far as action and adventure goes, this sets a steady pace, both with the Navy Seals headed up by Toby Stephens, who have to rescue the President and faces losing much of his team in the process, to Gerard’s role in the sub who stands to lose his whole crew if the Captain of the Russian warship gets his way and launches the missiles. Not going to give the whole story away – you’ll have to watch it. I’ve not as yet seen a crap Gerard Butler film, if we can rule out Movie 43: Leprechaun from the list, that is. Action wise – I can’t fault him.

Hunter Killer did throw up some interesting faces though and naturally I become quite excited when I see people from Who, and indeed Torchwood in films, especially if I know I can get a Connection article out of it.

Naturally, we’ve done the research so you don’t have to.

How many did you spot in the film?
