The Whoniverse Round-Up February 2019

February 2019

Sarah Pinborough

CROSS HER HEART

Published by HarperCollins on 17th May 2018

Pinborough's psychological thriller was originally published 23 April 2018 and is storming up the charts ahead of Lynda La Plant's latest novel as seen in photo below of Sarah posing in Sainsbury's.

Cross her Heart is not connected to Behind Her Eyes thriller, but it is still likely to keep you up all night.

According to author C.L. Taylor of The Accident, 'it's unflinching and disturbing' and some of the parts you'd want to read between your fingers.

If you love novels that will have you so incredibly engrossed that you won't want to put it down till you finish it, or when you do put it down eventually it's with you for ever such a long time afterwards - then you'll certainly enjoy Cross Her Heart.

Olivia Colman

Academy Award for Best Actress 2019 - The Favourite

One of the best things to come out of the Oscars in a long time is Olivia Colman collecting her award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite.

The speeches are always the best part of any award ceremony and Olivia’s didn’t dismay. It was absolutely hilariously witty and kudos to her for keeping it together. I think if it had been me, I’d have barely been able to speak.

Congratulations Olivia - you thoroughly deserve it!

Peter Capaldi

Lewis Capaldi's debut single ‘Someone You Loved’ has reached No1 in the UK charts. It's not surprising given how poignant the song is, and the video attached to it brings tears to the eyes. Peter Capaldi plays a widower who lost the love of his life, but feels her heart beating in someone else's chest.

Not a dry eye in the Office I can tell you.

Peter is Lewis' dad's second cousin, we believe.
