Connections Fresh Meat by DJ Forrest

2011 - 2016

Fresh Meat is about a group of students sharing a house together, while enjoying the trappings of University life, and stars a host of well known cast. It's witty, hilarious and a constant viewing of episodes, and there's one or two episodes which feature a name that provides a link to Torchwood in a wibbly wobbly kind of way.

The profession of this John Frobisher is as a poet, who has written several books and becomes a centre feature in one of two episodes in a later series. Sadly, Stanley Townsend who plays Frobisher in this programme has never been in Doctor Who or indeed Torchwood for that matter which would have been really cool. The series has been mentioned in one or two episodes by the main cast.

The cast themselves have begun to appear in later episodes of Doctor Who, and the crew are notably familiar in those circles also, so it was worth a share.

We've done the research, so you don't have to.

Created by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, and starring Zawe Ashton, Greg McHugh, Kimberley Nixon, Charlotte Richie, Joe Thomas and Jack Whitehall.
