Class, the Doctor Who spin
off, has received a lot of mixed reviews, and although initially having taken
on board these views of the show, I listened to someone who rated it highly and
checked it out for myself. With Steven Moffat at the helm, however, you expect
to find every episode to be mind-blowingly unexplainable. Such as the Fish in
the Fog, which I never did understand, but then, I guess it depends if you’re a
fan of Terry Pratchett or not.
Class however, was
wonderfully and deliciously gory which for a series I initially thought would
be a CBBC favourite, being a spin off. Expecting it to be like The Sarah Jane
Adventures meets Wizards Vs Aliens, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s
gorier than Torchwood, with a crazy team you could have picked from Buffy, with
a slight touch of WvA but without the crazy alien face in the wall.
So much so, that having
watched all 7 episodes back to back on iPlayer, I can’t wait for the next
story.
SO, given that at least
more than a handful of the cast have appeared in Doctor Who at some point, I
was more than a little surprised to find that a lot of the Crew had been
involved in both Who & Torchwood.
We’ve done the research so
you don’t have to. Unless of course you want to find out everything that Steven
Moffat has done since he wrote his first ever episode of Doctor Who back in the
day.
