Connections Land Girls by DJ Forrest

Broadcast from 2009 – 2011
Created by Roland Moore.

BBC Production, Land Girls followed the lives and loves of four members of the Women’s Land Army, working at the Hoxley Estate during World War II. It’s a really great series and one I missed during its first outing. Mark Benton plays the owner of the farm where the girls stay, and Sophie Ward plays Lady Ellen Hoxley, the owner of the Estate, who you really learn to loathe. Danny Webb plays the annoying Dennis Tucker, leader of the Home Guard, who worked as a gamekeeper prior to his post. He plays a great role and another you like to hate in the series.

A great host of Whoniverse cast and crew to spot on the series and in the credits. So as usual, we’ve done the leg work so you don’t have to.

I’m still watching the series, but the first half has been enjoyable and I wonder what the second series will bring.
