The Whoniverse Round-Up October 2015

October 2015

I Believe in Miracles

If like me, you have limited knowledge of football, such as the ‘off side rule’ then you’ll probably also wonder what ‘I Believe in Miracles’ has to do with Torchwood.  Well, I can tell you now, it has absolutely nothing to do with the show at all, except that it is a film documentary written and directed by Jonny ‘Banana Boat’ Owen.

See there had to be a connection somewhere.

Jonny’s new film which opens in selected cinemas from October is about one of Britain’s best known football managers, Brian Clough.

So, if you’re a fan of Nottingham Forest, then this will be a trip down memory lane.  Even if you’re not a fan of football, and I fall into this category. The film documentary is engaging and keeps the interest in the ‘beautiful game’ that non fans may enjoy, and I certainly felt that during the trailer.

If you follow the link below, you can see which cinemas will be showing the film.

There will be more about ‘I Believe in Miracles’ in our next Issue, so be sure to look out for this.

The Cleaners

‘This is the story of two brothers who run a crime scene cleanup business, when it suddenly takes a downturn, brought on by his dads death, this story brings out the human form at its most desperate. Soon things take a turn for the worst.’
 - Justin Walters

‘The Cleaners’ is brought to you by actor Justin Walters, with Craig Handley of Handley Film Ltd, directing. It’s a Welsh dark comedy television drama.  It’s due to begin filming in November, and we have an exclusive interview with both actor and director for Issue 30, out next month.
