The Whoniverse Round Up Issue 20 November

The Whoniverse Round Up

Happy Birthday!

When we’re off air it’s often difficult and sometimes pointless posting Birthday Shout Outs to people when we can’t air them till after the fact some days later, so we’d like to take this opportunity to wish those who celebrated their birthdays from the 27th – 30th November, which includes  Samantha Bond, Karen Gillan, Martin Clunes and Naoko Mori, belated birthday wishes and hope you all enjoyed a wonderfully pampered day.

Coming up in December

If you’re a fan of Dylan Thomas works then you might be interested in  ‘Dan y Wenallt’ by Ffatti Ffilms which is released on December 11th this year.  The film written and directed by Kevin Allen, Uncle to Lily Allen, stars Rhys Ifans and Charlotte Church as well as well known Torchwood cast from Sara Lloyd Gregory to Wil Thomas, check out their website for the full cast list.

“I was determined to craft a cinematic rendition that challenged the common perception; that poetry should remain in the domain of the reader or listener.” Director Kevin Allen.

Dan y Wenallt will premiere at Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre and will open simultaneously across cinemas and Art Centres in Wales.  You can watch the film on S4C at 9pm on 27th December 2014.

The Welsh film however comes with English Subtitles, is 86 minutes in length and Cert 15 (TBC).

An English version of the film will be released in Spring 2015.

What to expect in 2015

Nature Has Evolved!

Ben Loyd-Holmes new film Extinction (previously known as The Expedition) will have its UK Premiere in March 2015 with sales of the film on shelves in key stores.

The film is similar in ways to Jurassic Park and I wonder if this has in some way prompted the makers of Jurassic Park to bring out another addition to their franchise!!!

With a well stocked cast list from the world of HollyOaks, Torchwood, and World War Z, and with breathtaking scenery and creatures that you just can’t get enough of, I can’t wait to see this film.

If you want to find out more about the film, follow the two Pages, and if you have any questions, I’m sure the team will be able to answer any of your queries.
