The uniquely styled artwork is lovingly crafted by Rich Palmer, a
graphic designer with over 25 years experience and a lover of all things
sci-fi!
"I started producing artwork for myself at first, I wanted some
prints for my dining room wall, but couldn't find exactly what I was after,”
Rich tells us. “so I decided to do it myself! They looked great once framed and
mounted on the wall, loads of people commented on the prints and asked me where
they could get them... it then struck me that I should try and display them
somewhere, and maybe even make a few sales!"
Since then the artwork collection has grown and The Craft Mill sells
prints all over the world – especially in America, where the interest in shows
like Dr Who, Torchwood and Sherlock has really taken off... especially since
the BBC now has a real presence in the US!
"Doctor Who is far away the biggest seller in the States, there
seems to be a massive interest in the show over there, especially in Mr Tennant
it seems! I get loads of requests for artwork based on his term as The
Doctor!"
The collection is branching out into the movies as well, after an
initial run of Harry potter prints, Rich has now started working on Marvel
characters and also the Breaking Bad artwork has been getting a lot of attention!
The Craft Mill has recently begun selling a wide range of typographic
style prints, featuring iconic quotes from the shows and films, Rich also
invites his followers to suggest quotes to be made into posters!
"There are so many great lines from films and TV, and they all
mean different things to different people! One lady recently ordered a Doctor
Who quote... to be displayed at her wedding!"
Each print can be ordered online from Etsy http://etsy.me/VJ419uo and they can be ordered in any size (up to
A3), they are all reasonably priced at just £10 each. With such a wide range
there really is something for everyone!
