this day in 1973, Episode 5 of Planet of the Daleks was broadcast. It was Season
10 and starred Jon Pertwee as the Doctor with Jo Grant his companion.

2007, The Lazarus Experiment
was broadcast. It was the 183rd story of Who and
starred David Tennant as the Doctor, with Freema Agyeman his companion. It also featured Mark Gatiss as Lazarus.

Greenhorn and Director was Richard Clark.
The Doctor with Martha
and her family attend a scientific event by Professor Lazarus, who shows the
effects of genetic manipulation, with dire consequences.
Richard
E. Grant celebrates a
birthday today. Richard played Doctor
Who twice, once in Doctor Who and the Fatal Curse and once as the Tenth Doctor,
referring to him as The Handsome Doctor.
He also provided the voice of the 9th Doctor in the BBC
animated webcast Scream of the Shalka.
During the 11th
incarnation of the Doctor, Richard played Dr. Walter Simeon, in The
Snowmen. In Bells of Saint John he
played the Great Intelligence and reprised the role in The Name of the Doctor.
