Editor’s Note

On a morning full of hayfever and a left arm recovering from the final COVID jab, it’s the last read through before the launch of Issue 92, and I can’t help feeling a sense of excitement. The Ninth Doctor, the actual Ninth Doctor, has returned and sets the wheels in motion for a splendid if not brilliant first outing with Big Finish. I for one, cannot wait till next payday for a chance of listening to some awesome audios.

Not only that, but this month, Tony has surpassed himself with not one but three more Doctor volumes to enthral you with. New volumes to salivate at and fill shelves where once paperback novels sat, but now make way for audio containers, unless, you’re more of a download freak!!!

Andrew has set aside his own Doctor Who novel to bring us more Sarah Jane reviews, don’t miss that, and Matt returns after a long break to bring us a Fourth Doctor Big Finish review alongside some Classic Doctor Who TV episodes to recall from years ago. Some, even I remember from the off.

Lady C returns for another adventure, this time written by two more fans of the series, Samantha Stanley and Harriet Chamberlain. Do check out this story. I can absolutely recommend it.

Our profile this month is our illustrious leader of Torchwood Three – Captain Jack Harkness. It may seem that we’ve skirted around a few sides of his character, but believe me, if we didn’t, we’d still be writing till the sun exploded.

Tiziana has once again created a brilliant front cover for us, with the Ninth decorating the scene once again.

So, pack a flask and some serious filling for your sandwiches. Saddle up and let the reading commence. We’ll be back next month with more exciting reviews, and hopefully a little extra.

Stay safe and stay well.

Editor’s Note

As far as the pandemic is going, I think the end is in sight. The roll out of vaccinations in Scotland is definitely ahead of everyone else in the UK, and we should all be mask free by the end of the Summer (hopefully).

This month saw a sad farewell to Ronald Pickup who died at the beginning of March after a long illness. He was 80. We’ll be putting an article together in next month’s Issue.

We’ve a bumper edition for you all this month, with reviews from the world of Netflix and Amazon Prime, along with Who Reviews, a Dalek build or two and Lady Mayhurst with another brilliant chapter of her Nightmare Child series.

And because it’s John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd’s birthdays this month, we’ve got double articles from us, and from the fans who have met them over the years since Torchwood. If you would like to add your own pieces to this, do comment in the post below. We’d love to read those.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this month’s Issue, especially to my team, who absolutely ROCK, with covers and articles.

See you all back here in April for our Easter edition. Blimey! That time again. I wonder if there will be a Doctor Who season this year???

This edition is dedicated to a good friend and companion. My dog, Kelpie who sadly died on Tuesday 2nd March. Greatly missed.

Editor’s Note

Hands up if you’re absolutely sick and tired of Coronavirus? Yeah us too, but it seems that it’s likely to stick around for some time to come, so certain end of year festivals and celebrations may not happen this year.

So, we need to be able to keep you entertained in the meantime, and we hope you’ll enjoy our little Issue this month. We’ve reviews galore, along with our usual articles on where cast of Immortal Sins are now. Naturally, it’s been difficult locating much of the cast, especially those with very small roles, so we’ve done the best we can, and hope to update many of these articles if and when new information comes in.

Our wonderful Who Reviewers have been busy this month with reviews from the 2nd, 9th and 11th Doctor. There’s also reviews from the world of television dramas which have also seeped into the Connections this month.

Like David Jason, Tennant has a complete knack to scare the hell out of you, playing psychopaths and serial killers. Not a hint of the 10th Doctor in his most recent role. *shivers*

We’ve also got a review of Enola Holmes and what a brilliant film that was. I hope there’s many more Adventures lined up with Millie Bobby Brown in the lead role.

This month, our Captain takes the lead with Locations and we’re into Day Three of Children of Earth. Interesting little note here – if anyone is interested in sharing their location stories with us, do please get in touch with us, at the usual address. We’d love to hear from you.

We’re also on the look out for book reviewers – there are still a wealth of Who novels out there that we’ve not read, as yet. Plenty of 11th Doctor stories, including 12th and 13th and if you’re a big fan of these, then do please, let us know, and share your reviews here.

Ahh, coffee has gone cold! IANTO, more coffee…please *claps hands together, puppy dog eyes* Works every time.

I want to take this opportunity of thanking my wonderful writing team for all their reviews this month and to Tiziana for once more, a wonderful, absolutely brilliant front cover. I especially love this one!

Editor’s Note

You know, if you ever get the chance to travel with the Doctor, in his blue box. I think 2020 Earth, would be a year that you should cross off your list as a destination hot spot.

What a year this has been so far, and it doesn’t seem as if this virus is letting up. Spikes are appearing across the UK and the world, in much the same way as Rift Activity, and it’s worrying because, we seem to be reaching a point when the Second Wave is becoming more of a Probability than a Possibility.

So, to lighten the mood, we’ve brought you some more reviews, an interview with a top fan of our little website and some awesome stories to boot. We’ve also got our regular look at the cast of Miracle Day, and this month we’re looking at Episode 5 – The Categories of Life.

I also have to make an apology. I had planned to have a Profile article of Earl Cameron for you this month, but due to some research issues, I’m unable to do so, and will as always, endeavour to bring that to you at a later date – hopefully, in September.

We’re also on the look out for more reviewers, of television and film and most especially, Doctor Who, and Torchwood. If you would like to get involved and join our merry team, then do please message us on our email or over on our social networking pages.

Welcome to Issue 83: WATNOW: The Categories of Life.

I’d like to take this opportunity of thanking Tiziana for her brilliant as ever front cover. Matt and Sarah for their brilliant reviews, Kirsty for being a wonderful guest and to Lady Mayhurst for as ever, her brilliant Dark Doctor stories. You’ll especially love this one, guys!

Editor’s Note

Hi Folks,

We once more bring you our little ray of sunshine to brighten up those long, somewhat dreary days in Lockdown, and hope it helps chase the gloom away. Although, some of you might be experiencing a lifting of certain sanctions that Lockdown has brought, so enjoy that bit of freedom. Others are back in Lockdown once more.

This month we have some exciting news to share with you all. As some of you might be aware, we’re due to have a Lockdown Special I AM ALONE Reunion kind of catch up, which at a later date will be posted on YouTube. We’ve posted up on Twitter and Facebook a request of questions for the writers and creators Robert A. Palmer and Michael A. Weiss, and for the three main actors Gunner Wright, Rory Zacher and Gareth David-Lloyd. This will not be open to the Public as it were, which is why we’re asking for the questions in advance. PT are going to be moderators for the event and I for one, can’t wait. If you can have your questions in, no later than Friday Evening, 10th July, 2020, that would be awesome.

Just be aware that many of us haven’t been to the barbers yet and will look as if they’ve slept in a hedge with Stig of the Dump!

We’re also going to be starting a new kind of Interviews over the next few months. We’ve shared with you our interviews of the cast and often the crew of Doctor Who and Torchwood, but now, we’re offering a different kind of Interview, and Scott James Kyle kicks off our first as one of the stars of ‘Outlander’ is a FAN OF PROJECT: TORCHWOOD.

Torchwood and Doctor Who series, and the fandoms are how many of us got together and formed lifelong friendships. So, it’s from this, that has sparked the idea, to get to know the fans of our little site a bit more and find out just how much of a fan of the Whoniverse you guys really are. If you’re up for a chat with some virtual reality tea and biscuits, we’ll pop by, maintaining our social distance.

So, to keep you going this month, it’s a hearty thank you to Tiziana DF for her wonderful front cover. Matt Rabjohns for Who and Big Finish Reviews and of course his brilliantly awesome Fans Fiction. To Lady Mayhurst for her contribution of The Nightmare Child stories. Chapter Two is awesomely brilliant.
Our Connections is quite small this month. Incidentally, we’re looking for reviewers of this series, as unfortunately, we don’t have Alibi, so if someone can write one for us, this would be great.

So, if you’ve a spare few hours, kick off your shoes, make yourself a flask and some sandwiches, and enjoy Issue 82: MD: WATNOW Escape to LA.

Enjoy

And if you fancy getting involved in our I AM ALONE questions, drop us a line on Twitter or Facebook with the #IAMALONEQs
