Editor Note

As ever, another busy month, and coupled with an injury putting me out of action for a week, with no computer time longer than half an hour if I was lucky, we’ve once again worked past our deadline.
These things can’t be helped, and it has bought us a little more time in order to catch up on articles. And with cast of Torchwood who have helped us out considerably over these past few weeks – thank you to Lloyd Everitt and Gwilym Havard Davies for their help towards the latest ‘Day One’ article.

We’ve got links to look back over Issue 49, on the updated ‘Everything Changes’ article, thanks to Gwilym.

This month sees us bidding Andrew Creak, our front cover graphic designer, a sad farewell. He’s off to Uni, and can no longer create any more wonderful front covers – which means, we’re on the look out for someone who can pick up the baton and run with it, for hopefully a long time. If you know of someone, or you are the person we’re looking for – do please get in touch, either social media, or our email address, listed on our Contact Page.

Until then, it’s me with Pic Collage!!!

Tony has been exceptionally busy putting together a host of reviews for you this month. From Who to Torchwood, and if you’re still unsure about the new Doctor, do please visit our Mothership Page, for Tony’s views on this latest debate that is, dare we say it, splitting the nation.

Mitchell, is slowly getting his feet under the table with Torchwood, but still managing to upset the team. Find out how, in this month’s instalment in our Fans Fiction, Mitchell: Part 6.

We hope our friends over in the US of A, are battening down the hatches and keeping themselves safe against the current violent storms heading their way. Stay safe folks, Mother Nature is in a pissy mood right now!

Editor’s Note

I took a little longer to put this Issue together because the WATNOW? article was larger than I gave it credit. It required a lot of research, back and forth through various websites. The Internet can be a frustrating place at times, and often you need to know what you’re going in for before you set off.

It was difficult to locate actors who were no longer acting, or not busy much these days. But we got there in the end.
Which was why there was a huge delay in launching the Issue on the due date.

I can’t guarantee that next month will be any easier but we’ll do our best. Some of the photographs haven’t been added to the article because we’ve been hard pressed to find any. But we’re not giving up.

I’m steadily working through my Who novels on the shelf in my room. I’m going to require new novels at some point, and our Whoniverse Round-Up Page shows that there’s a fair amount to choose from.
Do please check it out – there are some juicy titbits of information about a film out this December, to mark the 10th anniversary of a popular ITV fantasy series.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this month’s issue, including the cast who gave up some of their free time to chat.

Editor Note

It has been a long journey with regards to the Episode Breakdowns. Three years in fact, and it’s nice in a way to see them at an end. They are by far the longest articles in any Issue, and take anything up to 12 hours to complete. From transcripts broken down, action added, and the entire article shortened from 20 pages down to between 7 – 10, that does take a fair bit of commitment, so it’s no wonder I tend to leave it till the last possible moment – minutes in fact before the impending deadline. I do from time to time tell myself that I MUST start these earlier, and for a good few times I have but, life tends to get in the way, and while you take a break to enjoy a few weeks of blissful freedom, it soon catches up with you, and before you know it, it’s back around again, and panic, Panic, PANIC!

We have new ideas for the next issues, although it may take some time to put them into action, so perhaps the next few will be more reviews and hopefully some great interviews.

Moving house can certainly take its toll on your creativity and it’s taking me a fair bit of time to get back in my stride. Eight weeks in and I’m still nowhere near finishing the painting or stripping of wallpaper, and it doesn’t help that nobody can mind the Weevil while I do this. We’ve had a few offers of help now and then, but when it comes down to it, Gwen would much rather watch Rhys’ socks dry than come and touch up the glossing. And I did offer her as much beer as she could drink!

This month sees a lot of Who reviews from Jeff and Tony, with The Doctor providing the final instalment of locations from Series 2 of Torchwood. Mitchell is back for Part 4, and Jack has a visit from an old friend.

If you like what we do, then please, please comment below our articles, we’d love to hear from you. And even if there are things in the articles you don’t agree with, I know you’re sure to apply the fingers to the keyboard and post up a few comments.

Some of our articles, 42, Crimson Horror, and The Doctor’s Season 2 Torchwood locations, are running late.
We’re also experiencing a technical hitch with our front cover, but all will be updated as soon as possible. So not wishing to delay the launch any longer…

Editor’s Note

Hi All,

It’s funny isn’t it, when you take time out to catch up on other stuff, that you still manage to achieve a lot of book reviews regardless. And still to cap it all, bring you an interview with Peter Stray of Canaries movie – which as you’ll read, has a few familiar faces from Torchwood and Doctor Who. Be sure to check this out.

We’ve a Torchwood review of the latest audio from Big Finish, let us know what you thought to this too. I’m a bit behind on the audios these past few months, (since Outbreak), so am yet to listen to the latest.

We always welcome your feedback on any of the reviews we post up. Some of you do add your voice, and we thank you greatly for them.

We’ve part 3 of our Torchwood: Mitchell story for you. I’m glad to be able to give this a second airing, and this time it will be staying on the site.

So with book, episode and audio reviews, interview and story, you have plenty to keep you entertained before we’re back with our final instalment of Torchwood’s Miracle Day episode.

Editor’s Note

Hi everyone,

As per usual, this past month has been exceptionally busy, more offline than on too. Having just moved to a new house, the ‘roughing it’ lifestyle I’ve now adopted is wearing a little thin. Surrounded by boxes and wallpaper scrapers, there’s a lot to do before I’m totally satisfied that the decorating is all done, and I can relax a while.

This month, sees some great reviews from Tony and myself, along with our final Coronation Street connections – phew! It took an exceptionally long time to finish, did that. More connections to come in June – crikey, it’s scary when you think we’re almost halfway through the year, and yet, January doesn’t seem all that long ago.

Check out our reviews this month – plenty of Big Finish reviews, along with books and comic reviews on the Who section. Torchwood’s new audio story Visiting Hours is worth a read, but if you’ve not bought the audio yet, leave it until you have – likely spoilers.

There are so many great Big Finish audios that I’m yet to purchase, at this rate, I’ll need two full time jobs to pay for them all!!!

OK, so I think I’ve rattled on enough now. But before I go, did anyone pick out their horses for the Grand National on Saturday 8th April? If you did, I wonder how many of you bet on Doctor Harper! I’m not a betting man, and it was purely only because Doctor Harper sprang out at me – the geek that I am – immediately thought – ooh, Torchwood. He didn’t win though, sadly.

So enjoy Issue 46 and all that surrounds it.

~Jack~

Editor Note

Believe it or not, this month has been extremely hectic and I’m absolutely glad to see March – lighter nights, for a start.
We welcome Andrew Creak to our humble team. Andrew is our new Graphics Artist, replacing Mickie as front cover artist.

We have an interview with Kevin McCurdy this month, and what a fantastic insight into the world of fight co-ordinators. Also, Mitchell has returned, in a new place, Fans Fiction. If you didn’t read it the first time, be sure to give it a chance this time.

More Who Reviews, from television, books and comics, and our audios with Big Finish.

Part 3 of our Coronation Street Connections should keep you up to speed as to who has appeared in the Whoniverse from the Manchester cobbles.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our site. Special thanks to Whovian TV (do check out their website), for allowing us to use their photo in our Interview.

Hapus Dydd Dewi Sant (bit late in the day but still)

Welcome to Issue 45 – End of the Road.
